Dan Schimmoeller began his repair service business from the back of a white van in 1975. Today, 20 years later, Dan's Truck Equipment is located on a 150 acre spread just east of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Dan's Truck Refrigeration, Inc. is an authorized sales and service dealer of Thermo King transport refrigeration equipment.

The company places its primary emphasis on service. "Our refrigeration technicians are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, providing emergency repair service to the trucking industry." says Rick White, Controller. "In fact, approximately 68 percent of our business comes in over the road. Whether it's a load of computer chips or blood plasma or produce, when drivers have any sort of refrigeration failure, they come to us."

With 20 employees, including eight full-time technicians, and one painter, Dan and his crew can boast a loyal customer base. That's because of the excellent customer service ethic on which the company was founded. "That's how Dan built his business," Mr. White explains.

Dan's Truck Equipment is continually expanding, both in its product lines and its customer service techniques.

Dan's Truck Equipment sells and services Thermo King units, used trucks and bodies, liftgates, snow plows, hoists, cranes, and a variety of other truck equipment. Dan's Truck Equipment also rents refrigerated trucks and trailers for storage.

Dan's Truck Equipment is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. Refrigeration technicians are on call 24 hours a day seven days a week.
